Zalando 2015-2017
Senior Product Designer.

I joined Zalando in 2015 as one of the team's early designers on a mission to become the Starting Point For Fashion. Right off the bat, I helped redesign Zalando 2.0 mobile apps, receiving an Editor's Choice in Google Play. I co-owned the home screen experience and redesigned the Zalando iconography language across the app and web. Led design for the launch of Zalando Premium and Brand Hub, passing through this Hyper-growth phase, where I helped to recruit, hire, and scale the design org and saw it becoming one of the most mature design organizations in Europe. After that, I moved to lead the mobile design at Zalando Lounge, Zalando's off-price sub-brand. Here are some highlights from my time with Zalando.

/Zalando Apps.

To embrace the changing culture of the mobile consumer in early 2015 and to be a genuinely Mobile-First company, we had to rethink our mobile apps on iOS and Android. We introduced a complete revamp to the look and feel of our apps and shipped a more intuitive and personalized shopping experience. At the same time, we built a scalable components system that adapts to the various internal stakeholder needs.

/Zalando Premium.

I led the UX Design of the pilot experiment of the launch of the Zalando Premium Category, where we introduced the Premium Brand Shop, an elevated shopping experience catered for high-end fashion brands allowing them to curate and customize their own space within our fashion platform, highlighting their stories and engage directly with their customers.

/Zalando Lounge Apps.

As Lead Product Designer at Zalando Lounge, Zalando's off-price sub-brand, I introduced a new visual language to the brand. I Led Product Design to help ship a brand new Android App that reached almost 1 million active users in less than six months. While also introducing a wholly revamped iOS experience, which correlated to a significant increase in engagement and conversion rate.
